Quick Base Update

I started using Quick Base as a task manager for the office about 6 months ago. I really liked it - but there's always a possibility it was just a "bright shiny object." Now, after 6 months I still love the program.

Since I started using Quick Base a few law office related applications have been added. But I had already done so much to customize QBase for my office that I just took a few specific functions. Had they been available when I first signed up, it would have made my own programming of QBase a lot easier.

This is not a program for more lawyers, who, sad to say, are not very technologically savvy. It is a platform, rather than a full blown application. But that's what I love about it - I can customize it to be exactly what I want, not what some programmer thinks I want. And that's the downside for many attorneys in small offices. They don't enjoy tinkering with things like this.

At this point the program does a lot of things for me and my staff, and we're just using it and making a list of new features and functions we'd like to add. So the bright shiny object has become a valuable and well used tool. And amazingly, it's still shiny
