All A-Twitter
I've listened to all sorts of reasons why a business (and a law firm is a business) would want to be on FaceBook or MySpace, and I can't see it for me right now. So now the IN thing is twitter. I easily saw how for a restaurant a chef might want to post "Just came back from farmers market - boy are the peaches wonderful. Thinking up a special dessert for tonight." But I couldn't see me writing "Playing solitaire to clear my mind so I can try to figure out this arcane tidbit of legalese." But then it occurred to me....
I am constantly being asked -- so what DO you actually do. People know what divorce attorneys do, either from personal knowledge or from watching TV. And criminal attorneys, well they are all over TV and movies. But business attorneys, well we're sort of invisible.
So maybe twitter is a way to say "hey business world, you might not think you need a business attorney (or a different business attorney), but here's what I do on any given day. No details of course - that's confidential. But just some general comments about the subjects I deal with on a day to day basis.
I have no idea if this will work. I may find it annoying to do the posting. I may find it's difficult to say anything without revealing too much. I may just find it boring. But I'm always game to try the new game in town. So feel free to follow my twitter.
