It is a Violation of Federal Law to Remove this Label
I don't know about you, but years and years ago, I figured out that falling out of bed is a normal risk of daily life. I think I was probably 8 when this dawned on me. And I also figured out, when I was a starving student and lived in a tiny studio apartment and had a loft bed with a desk under it, that falling out of a loft bed could hurt.
But this college student sued because there wasn't a warning on the bed saying "danger, you can fall out of this bed and get a boo boo." Wouldn't you be embarassed to even argue that you needed a warning label on a loft bed?
Luckily, in spite of a jurying buying into this silliness, the appellate court rules that the risk of falling out of bed is so obvious that as a matter of law, no warning label is required. I'm so relieved. I have enough guilt over removing the labels on my mattresses.
